The San Diego Aces Disc Golf Club and Team Rizbee
Productions are proud to present the 2009 Montiel Ice Bowl!! Once
again this tournament is being held to benefit The Angel's Depot, a
senior-citizen food bank here in North County San Diego. The
Montiel Ice Bowl is also one of the 4 stops on the Golden Sombrero Tour,
a collection of four Ice Bowls (San Marcos, Redlands, Sun Valley and
Palm Desert) all working towards charitable causes.
This years Montiel Ice Bowl will be 27 holes (9 short-9 long-9 short) and is PDGA sanctioned. Your $20 entry fee and one can of food includes:
- A Golden-Sombrero stamped tournament disc (Glow Ontario Roc, Champion TeeBird or Champion Leopard).
- A Montiel Disc Golf Course mini
- Entry into the opportunity drawing for prizes
- A chance to win a portable basket with a hole-in-one
- A donation to The Angel's Depot
As with other Team Rizbee events, there will be other fun stuff, including CTP prizes, the return of Disc Golf Bingo and Disc Golf Trivia. There will be a long-putt contest to win a 2009 Ice Bowl hoodie - one can of food per shot. We will also have Golden Sombrero Charity Fundraiser discs for sale to benefit The Angel's Depot: Champion Gators, Champion TeeRex X's and Champion Starfire-L's.
